Poor Nintendo....seems like they're going to be behind the times again. I still want a Game Cube, though, just so I can play Mario Party.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I think Nintendo doesn't care about graphics this time around. Heck, for $200 for new gameplay with the new motion sensor controllers is worth buying over all the other consoles. I could buy 3 Wii for one PS3.

I think the new controller is just a gimick to get people to pay for gamecube graphics on a new system and buy all new games. Nintendo is just trying to make some money off you. On another note, why didnt they call it the Revolution, it would have sounded so much cooler than "Wii", unless they are trying to appeal to the french speaking nations.

Good comment but what about their competitors?

Nintendo is just trying to make some money off you.

Sony and Microsoft is not trying to make money off of you?

I think the new controller is just a gimick to get people to pay for gamecube graphics on a new system and buy all new games.

PS3 graphics are not a selling gimmick? Xbox 360 online feature is not selling gimmick also? Hey, of course its their selling point. Its what they are trying distinguish themselves from the competition. I'm paying to have more fun, if the motion sensor controllers makes games more fun then they can have my money.

Revolution, it would have sounded so much cooler than "Wii"

      I agree 100%.

I guess they are all selling gimmicks, but if these are supposed to be next-gen systems, I expect next-gen graphics. Not only that but, PS3 also has a motion sensing controller along with all the new stuff. I just think that M$ and Sony are pushing forward while Nintendo is stuck in a time warp. Mario is getting old, all the games are the same, and are mostly targeted at a younger audiance but one that existed 5 years ago, not todays kids. They could have done so much more.

Well I guess that makes us two completely different gamers. Which what all consoles are trying to get ,the casual gamer vs. experience gamers. Trying to make a system that grabs all of us.

          Mario is getting old

Even after all these years I still find him charming and fun.

The next-gen in your argument is apparently HD, and frankly, the majority of individuals do not have HD capabilities. Hell, I don't even have a TV that can display 480p. Furthermore, Nintendo's market is larger than gamers willing to drop endless amounts of money on the most expensive cutting edge technologies.
On a final note, Nintendo's next console will support HD resolutions, because at that time HD will be more saturated in the market, which is when I will happily buy the HD system, when I can slowly bring the rest of my luxuries into 'the next-gen'.

              @Andy Lurig

That's one thing I don't understand about the gaming industry. They spend all this time and effort on HD tv when hardly anyone has one. I guess its one of those things "because they can".

I think its more because HD will be taking off this year, dropping in price, and becoming more redily available to the public.
